2017 Poster Award: Third Place – Dr. Fadi Abu-Farsakh
Dr. Fadi Abu-Farsakh is a Palliative care consultant at King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan. He attended medical school at Jordan University of Science and Technology, graduating in 2009. Following a residency in internal medicine at King Abdullah University Hospital in Jordan, Dr. Abu-Farsakh has completed palliative care fellowship at King Hussein Cancer Center, and has been working there since then. Dr Abu-Farsakh is interested in the development of hospice and palliative care in Jordan, and has been teaching courses in Palliative and Home Care Diploma to health care professionals.
Dr Fadi Abu-Farsakh felt that “the International Palliative Care Network Conference 2017 was really a great one. He stated “I think the secret is: being online, you can choose the presentation you like at the time that suits you. The quality of every single session was extremely high, both interesting and updated subjects as well as good and amusing presentations. The poster exhibition was great as well, you can spend your time reading and understanding the posters. It was my first time attending this conference and I will definitely attend the up-comings.”
