I am not – from my family-carer during EoL at Home ‘perspective’ – happy with an emphasis on ‘human rights’ as distinct from the Mental Capacity Act. In the conclusions section of the poster, we can read: This phase one evaluation of the Sue Ryder human rights in end of life care training programme demonstrates promising early results, in its aim to empower practitioners to implement human rights in practice and improve knowledge and confidence in complex decision-making with patients and their families at end of life.
