Birgitta Fält works as a mental health chaplain and psychologist in Gothenburg, Sweden where she occasionally works with dying patients. Every now and then she is reacquainted with a former psychiatric patient in the in the ward where they want to talk to her about their life and what to expect at the end of life.

it is always interesting to read about pc in countries where pc is developing. the personal perspective on spirituality is particularly interesting. Cultural differences are always present, but as human beings everywhere we face the same dilemmas and challenges. Thank you Natneal

I liked the chaplain’s explanation of the difference between spirituality and religion. It gave me new clarity. He seemed to be saying that religion included a faith group and that spirituality was how we see ourselves in the world and what gives is meaning, purpose, and fulfillment.
